A Study visit to Austria was organised during the period of September 25-30th, 2011 for the members of day care centres and residential institutions (including transnistrian region) supported by ERSTE Foundation. The purpose of the visit was to increase the capacities of the network members in provision of social services based on EU standards and provide exchange opportunities for international cooperation as well as partnership promotion.
The agenda of the visit included knowledge sharing on the vocational training workshops for persons with disabilities and on opportunities of the social inclusion of the target category in the labour market - the main challenges and prospects were explicitly presented to Moldovan visitors by their Austrian colleagues.
Among the visited institutions were Lebenshilfe, Spielothek, BundesinstitutfürGehörlosenbildung, Jugend am Werk HORIZONT, ERSTE Foundation, Fonds Social Vienna and others.
As follow up of the visit, the leadership of the network centres has identified the priority directions and necessary skills and facilities to develop the specific therapies and services; has established contacts with their Austrian colleagues; has learned what challenges and prospects for the future activities must be taken into account when introducing the new services or improving the existing ones in Moldova.
